Oomomo is Daiso’s sister store that shelves household essentials— everything from desk organizers, beauty products, kitchenware and more. Upon launching their first store in Greater Vancouver, they needed support in creating buzz around the Grand Opening and revamping their Japanese brand.

THEIR GOAL

  • Successfully launch Oomomo stores in Vancouver

  • Break cultural barriers, build trust and virality within a Caucasian audience not familiar with their products

  • Create a unique digital brand and build a story around Oomomo’s value propositions

THE SOLUTION

  • Educate customers and raise awareness

  • Create quality content that drive resonance

  • Increase consideration by communicating variety of products

    • We have something for everyone

    • We are a “all-in-one” shop

  • Convince customers to walk-in—conversion

Our focus was to focus on authentic engagement rather than fake followers and massive short-term growth. We created an engaged community of customers who genuinely cared about their products and brand. With community engagement at the core of our brand building, we were able to scale the engagement rate and growth, supported by tactics such as influencer marketing and social media contests.

Today, Oomomo is a widely known brand across Canada, with more stores opening in Metro Vancouver in the upcoming months.
