THEIR STORY

Stretch Pizza is a newly opened Roman pizza shop that offers dine-in and take-out in the heart of Gastown, Vancouver. Before opening up, their team spent years in Italy training with master pizzaiolos and learning the art of Roman pizza.

THEIR CHALLENGE

With over 10 years of experience in the pizza and hospitality business, the Stretch owners were looking for someone bold to get the word out of their launch in Vancouver. But Vancouver is no stranger to pizzerias. How could they stand out amongst the more established spots and not eventually fall victim to the city's rising rent prices?

For the successful launch, we designed a multi-pillar strategy which focused on generating earned media. PR, media content, social media, and targeted business development were used in tandem to create the buzz.

Vancouver publications DailyHive Vancouver, Georgia Straight, and Narcity Vancouver covered Stretch on their channels - each having more than 3 million monthly readers.

Social Media Contests

One of the best ways to promote a new menu or brand is to hold a giveaway. We held 3 giveaways that catered to their target audiences. 

  1. A box delivered for free on the Stretch account to show off their mobile fleet

  2. Two boxes of pizza to celebrate our Instagram's milestone of hitting 5000 followers. 70% of our followers are local consumers and foodies!

  3.  An office catering contest on Stretch's account to capture new leads for the operations team to get in touch later. 

Guerilla Marketing, Launch Party, and Influencer Marketing

Cookie cutter methods won't work in Vancouver competitive pizza market. We worked with the Stretch team to get their pizza in front of people by coordinating street teams. 

To celebrate the launch of Stretch, we held a party in their Gastown location and invited media and our Tangoo Influencer community to commemorate this occasion!
